Play a Starring Role

Welcome to Castle Morpeth

I am delighted you have shown an interest in this important post of HR & Performance Manager for Castle Morpeth Borough Council.

The Council is justifiably proud of its efforts to turnaround from a very weak position in 2003 to its current much improved position which we expect to be reflected in a CPA refresh later this year.

The Council has been recognised for transforming services and becoming much more customer and community focused. Embarking on the Constellation programme last year was an important step in changing the culture of the Council. We recognise that our staff lie at the heart of that transformation process and to have achieved what we have requires ongoing development of our workforce.

The current post-holder, Jill Emery, has played a key role in the Council’s improvement process and in helping to change the culture of the Council but is now moving on to pursue new challenges. Building on the strong foundations she has set, we are looking to appoint somebody with the skills, drive and enthusiasm to take our Constellation programme into new galaxies.

If you feel, having read the job description, the role competencies and person specification, you could play a starring role in Castle Morpeth’s future, we want to hear from you.
